This page needs no introduction…Everyone remembers the events of this fateful day in U.S. history. We all know that terrorists attacked our country using our own airplanes and citizens as there weapon. 2,774 people died in the World Trade Center attack.

343 of these casualties were New York City firefighters. Women were left without husbands, children were left without fathers, those born after Sept. 11, 2001 will only know their father by the legacy he left behind.

These firefighters were performing their duty by going into the towers to rescue those trapped. As people were racing down the endless stairs, firefighters were going up. Three hundred and forty-three never came back down.
